Blake D. Carter, P.E. founded WESTEX Consulting Engineers, LLC in 2020 to provide realistic soil assessments for land development and improvement projects. Since its inception, Carter has been a visionary and has recently added multiple subsidiaries under WESTEX Consulting Engineers to broaden the scope of their expertise from coast to coast. These new subsidiaries include:

Tier 1 Engineering: Engineering services for geotechnical and materials testing

Precision Pipeline Services: High-tech pipeline inspections using a mobile CCTV truck equipped with advanced cameras

E3: Exterior Elevated Element safety inspection services

Carter earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering, as well as a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno. He has remained an active and engaged alumnus, giving back to the University in numerous ways.

Throughout his career, Carter has served in several jobs from the ground up. He enjoys educating and mentoring people while sharing his experiences in engineering and construction. Beyond his professional success, Carter is deeply committed to his family and community. He is a proud husband and dedicated father of two daughters. In his downtime, Carter dedicates his time and support to charitable causes, such as the Nevada Kids Foundation and Northern Nevada Children’s Cancer Foundation. He is also a member of the Optimist Club of Reno, a volunteer organization focusing on making a brighter future for our youth.
